Maxim on futurism.

Maxim Jago speaks internationally, and offers consultancy as a futurist, predicting trends and focusing attention on contemporary technologies and social developments that are likely to have major impact in the short, medium, and long term.

Maxim's new book, exploring emerging trends in the next ten years, published by IEEE-USA is now available HERE.

-

Maxim proposes an optimistic-realistic outlook, with the benefits coming up from autonomous robotics, true A.I., socio-economic changes thanks to cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, and sovereign identity projects, wide-area crowd funding, and environmental control leading to a new era of potential for the human race.

-

The human condition hasn't changed for many thousands of years but our experience of socialisation, education, work, and fun has demanded fast adaptation. We will blend the fulfilment of our fundamental needs with the exciting opportunities and challenges of an ever-widening social circle, changes to the definition of 'work', and the support of an increasingly able AI 'community'.

-

Maxim predicts that ideas and the creative process will become an increasingly important commodity, with much of the manual, and administrative work provided by automation.

-

The question is, if we are no-longer able to define ourselves by answering the question, 'What do you do?', what are our practical steps to enable us to answer the increasingly pressing question, 'Who am I?'

Maxim has presented these ideas at Sundance, Berlinale, Cannes, and Campus Moviefest in the context of storytelling, and in consultation for technology partners.
